About Us

James College of Engineering and Technology offers two years post graduate programme in Business Administration or students with background in liberal arts, sciences business, engineering etc., at the undergraduate level. The department of Management Studies at JAMCET firmly believes in the global perspective. The program is recognized by AICTE and is affiliated to Anna University, Chennai. It was started in the year 2009 with the objective of providing an integrated set of learning opportunities for students interested in mastering the skills and knowledge which is necessary for effectively participating and managing in modern organizations.

The MBA department faculty will demonstrate an excellence in teaching, as well as evidence of meaningful professional and scholarly activities. The Department has excellent infrastructure facilities with well equipped Seminar Hall, Conference Hall, Computer Laboratories, Library and Internet facility. The Department aims at Hands-on learning experiences combined with practical classroom instruction with various mini projects provide students with the essential business skills needed to effectively manage and lead organizations.

Prof.Dr. J. Jeyabalaji, Ph.D, Started his career as a professor of Economics in Scott Christian College in the year 1968, After retirement in 2003 he has lend his service to Sun Engineering College as a Visiting Professor in Economics and Indian Engineering College as Director of Management Studies. Since 2009 he has been inJames College Of Engineering and Technology as Director of Management Studies

His area of interest is Environmental Studies. He has guided 25 Ph.D’s successfully and they have been awarded by MKU & MSU. While working in Scottr Christian College he has guided 150 M.Phil Scholars. He is doing research on “Impact on Stress on IT Professionals with particular reference to their productivity and longevity”. He has worked as Director of Programme such as Child Welfare under Compassionate International and Tsunami Development Programme launched by German Agro Action under the leadership of Kanyakumari CSI Diocese for a period of 3 years.
